911 Turbo S

1997–1998Coupé

The Turbo S was Porsche Exclusive's 1997–98 farewell to the air-cooled Turbo. Larger Triple K K-24 turbochargers, an extra oil cooler and reworked Motronic management lifted output to 450 PS in European trim, 424 hp for the United States. It is unmistakable: yellow brake calipers, a biplane Aerokit II wing, quad exhaust tips, brake-duct intakes where the fog lamps used to be, and the 993 Turbo's first rear-quarter side scoops. Leather and carbon trim covered nearly every interior surface, in contrast to the spartan 964 Turbo S. Around 345 were built — the last air-cooled 911 Turbo, and among the rarest series 993s.
