911 Turbo S 3.6 Flachbau

1994Coupé

When 964 production ended, roughly 90 unused Turbo chassis remained, and Porsche handed them to Porsche Exclusive to be completed by hand. The result was the Turbo 3.6 S, available with the standard 964 nose or with the famous Flachbau slant-nose option — an X83/X84/X85 package built around the 968 front end, with Exclusive front and rear spoilers and 959-style rear fender intakes, which prefigures the 993. In the US the Flachbau cost $60,179 on top of a $99,000 Turbo 3.6. All 76 slant-nose cars were finished in Polar Silver and split 39 US, 27 international and 10 Japanese. A further batch received the X88 motorsport engine and, in place of the slant nose, the original 964 front end.
