911 Carrera S

2011–2019Coupé · Cabriolet

The Carrera S has long been the 911's sweet spot, and the 991 carried that across two engines. The 991.1 (2011–2015) used a 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six with 400 PS (294 kW; 395 hp) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft), reaching 302 km/h (188 mph) on PDK; the 991.2 (2016–2019) swapped in a 3.0-litre twin-turbo with 420 PS (309 kW; 414 hp) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft). PDK and Sport Chrono take the facelift car to 100 km/h in 3.9 s against a 306 km/h (190 mph) maximum. The Powerkit lifted the earlier car to 430 PS (424 hp). It is also the donor for the wide-body 50th Anniversary Edition.
