Porsche re-created the Carrera S in January 2025 to slot between the Carrera and the hybrid GTS, delivering the performance of the outgoing 992.1 GTS without the 3.6-litre engine. The 2,981 cc twin-turbo six gained 30 hp to 353 kW (480 PS; 473 hp) and 530 Nm thanks to new turbochargers and intercooling carried over from the 911 Turbo. Coupé and Cabriolet are offered, both with the eight-speed PDK only — the manual version returned to North America a year and a half later as the separate MT Package car. With Sport Chrono the Coupé reaches 100 km/h in 3.3 s and 308 km/h (191 mph).
