911 Carrera RS Clubsport

1995–1996Coupé

The M003 Clubsport option turned the Carrera RS into a road-legal track tool. A welded roll cage, suspension strut brace, composite buckets with six-point harnesses, battery cut-off and fire extinguisher went in; carpets, electric windows, air-conditioning and the radio came out. A larger biplane wing and deeper chin spoiler replaced the Touring aero, and fourth through sixth gears were shortened. Otherwise it matched the standard RS: 300 PS from 3.8 litres, 322 mm cross-drilled Turbo brakes, Bilstein dampers and a limited-slip differential. Of the 1,014 RS cars built, 227 left the factory as Clubsports. Like the RS, it was never sold in the United States.
