911 Carrera S

Coupé

There has never been a 996-generation 911 Carrera S. Porsche dropped the S suffix after the 993, and the 996 range runs from the Carrera through the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4S — a model introduced in 2002 that plays the part a buyer might expect a Carrera S to fill. The badge returned on the 997 in 2005. This roster entry is retained so the variant id survives across generations, but no 996 specifications can honestly be attached to it.
