911 GT3

2006–2012Coupé

The 997 GT3 was unveiled in March 2006 for the 2007 model year, reviving a badge last seen in 1998 after Porsche omitted it from the 996-generation Carrera's international lineup. Engine output was raised from 360 to 415 PS (409 hp) at 7,600 rpm and torque from 370 to 405 Nm (299 lb-ft), with a 40 kg (88 lb) weight reduction to 1,395 kg (3,075 lb), launching the car to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and on to 310 km/h (193 mph). The 2009 facelift enlarged the flat-six to 3.8 litres and 435 PS (429 hp), matched to a mechanically different six-speed manual. The German price at launch was €104,052.51 (US$106,000), with a restricted top speed of 302 km/h (188 mph) on US-spec cars.
