911 Speedster

2011Speedster

The 997 Speedster, produced in 2011, was only the third series Speedster of 911 history after 1954 and 1989. Its windscreen was 70 mm (2.8 in) shorter than that of the cabriolet and raked back more steeply over a two-seater cabin in a body finished in Pure Blue or Carrera White. A lightweight fabric hood and a shortened, power-assisted lid for the rear storage compartment completed the open-top silhouette. The 3.8-litre direct-injection flat-six of the Carrera GTS delivered 408 PS (402 hp) to the rear wheels through a seven-speed PDK gearbox with an additional gear ratio in the range of first. Exactly 356 cars were built in 2011.
