911 Sport Classic

2010–2011Coupé

The 911 Sport Classic was unveiled at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show as a homage to the 1964 911 901 and the 1973 Carrera RS 2.7. Its distinguishing features were the double-dome roof, 44 mm (1.7 in) wider front and rear fenders with 911 Turbo-derived wheels, a ducktail spoiler and a centrally positioned exhaust, combined with 19-inch Fuchs-style forged alloys and a mechanically locking rear differential. The 3.8-litre direct-injection flat-six developed 408 PS (402 hp) through a special resonance intake manifold, delivered to the rear wheels by a six-speed manual. The coupe was lowered by 20 mm (0.8 in) with PASM. Sales began in January 2010: 250 cars were made and sold out within 48 hours.
