911 2.7

1974–1977Coupé · Targa

The entry-level G-Model arrived with the 1974 model year, its 2.7-litre flat-six carried over from the Carrera RS 2.7 but fed by Bosch K-Jetronic rather than mechanical injection. Federal impact bumpers and the full-width rear light band defined its looks, and Coupé and Targa were the only bodies offered. Output was 150 PS (110 kW) through 1975 and rose to 165 PS (121 kW) for 1976–77, lifting top speed from 210 to 217 km/h. It was the volume car of the early range: roughly 17,000 Coupés and Targas left Zuffenhausen across four model years.
