911 Carrera 2.7

1974–1977Coupé · Targa

For four years the Carrera 2.7 was the fastest normally aspirated 911 on the price list. Its 2,687 cc flat-six kept the Bosch Kugelfischer mechanical injection of the 1973 RS 2.7 and made 210 PS (154 kW), good for 0–100 km/h in 6.3 seconds and a 240 km/h (149 mph) top speed. A wider rear track gave the Carrera its Coke-bottle silhouette, and like the 2.7 S it was sold as a Coupé or Targa. European cars retained mechanical injection throughout; North America received K-Jetronic versions.
