911 Carrera 3.2 Turbo Look

1984–1989Coupé · Targa · Cabriolet

Option M491 gave a naturally aspirated Carrera the full 930 Turbo package — wide arches, tea-tray spoiler, Turbo suspension, aluminium trailing arms, four-piston brakes and 16-inch Fuchs wheels — without the forced induction. Introduced for 1984 as a Coupé-only Special Wishes request, it became a catalogue option and from 1985 could be ordered on the Targa and Cabriolet too; in the UK it was sold as "Super Sport Equipment" and later "Supersport". Some 3,572 were built across all body types, including 755 Coupés for the US, where the real Turbo was unavailable.
