911 Carrera RSR 3.0

1974–1975Coupé

The RSR 3.0 was the pure competition car that the RS 3.0 existed to homologate. The Type 911/75 engine was bored to 2,996 cc and given twin-spark ignition, a dry sump and a six-piston Kugelfischer pump, revving to 8,000 rpm for 330 bhp (246 kW) and 314 Nm. Dry weight was about 900 kg, with 917-derived ventilated brakes and a reinforced 915 five-speed; top speed was 288 km/h (179 mph). The RSR became the most successful Group 4 racing car of its era, yet Porsche never published a 0–100 km/h time for it.
