911 Turbo 3.0 (930)

1975–1977Coupé

Unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in October 1974 and in showrooms from spring 1975, the 930 Turbo was the first turbocharged 911 and, at the time, the fastest production car sold in Germany. Its 2,993 cc flat-six ran 0.8 bar of boost for 260 PS (191 kW) and 343 Nm, pushing the wide-bodied Coupé to 250 km/h (155 mph) and 0–100 km/h in 5.4–5.5 seconds — all through a four-speed gearbox. The whale tail, flared arches and sudden boost earned it the "widowmaker" reputation. Porsche counts 2,819 cars to 1977; its own press material says 2,850.
