911 SC Weissach

1980Coupé

The Weissach Edition was a 1980 US-only special marking Porsche's new Weissach development centre and the Sonderwunsch department. Option M439 cost $32,050 and added Black or Platinum Metallic paint over Doric Grey full leather with burgundy piping, a whale-tail spoiler borrowed from the Turbo, a flexible front lip, Bilstein dampers, fog lamps, a power sunroof and 15-inch Fuchs with painted spokes. Mechanically it was an unchanged 180 hp SC. Porsche built 408 cars — one source says 400 — making it a rare, understated footnote in the SC's six-year run.
