911 Turbo LE

1989Coupé

To close out fourteen years of 930 production, Porsche pulled 50 Coupés from the final G50 assembly batch and handed them to the Exclusive department at Zuffenhausen. Each LE got the 330 PS Sport Equipment engine — 30 PS above the standard Turbo — plus a limited-slip differential, rear-wheel air intakes, sill extensions and an Exclusive front spoiler with an integral oil cooler, evoking the 935. Inside there were heated electric sport seats, a three-spoke wheel with a gold crest and a numbered console plaque. One car was allocated to each UK Porsche Centre; 0–60 mph took 4.6 seconds.

What the sources do not settle (3)

  • 0–100 km/h not published — only 0–60 mph (4.6 s per stuttcars/Bonhams, ~5.0 s estimated by supercars.net).
  • Kerb weight single-sourced (supercars.net lists 1,300 kg but also wrongly lists a four-speed gearbox; the LE is a G50 five-speed).
  • Torque and top speed differ between stuttcars (431 Nm, 278 km/h) and supercars.net (412 Nm, 274 km/h).
